The nut concentrate for pregnant and lactating mares provides the needs of these horses in different stages of pregnancy and lactation. Since about 60% of fetal growth occurs at the end of pregnancy, providing feed with high energy and high-quality protein is a vital issue in the formulation of horse feed at this time. The use of minerals, such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, copper, and selenium, as well as vitamins such as A, D3, and E, results in the birth of healthy and resistant foals and can meet the needs of the horse’s body during lactation.
